Gabe Bruehl

How does a Norman born, Oklahoma State graduate end up marrying a Longhorn and starting a business with a northerner from Wisconsin? Well, it starts long ago when I was a child in elementary school living across the street from the University of Oklahoma.  I grew up tossing the football around with OU football players on their way to class, so when it was time to choose a college, naturally I chose Oklahoma State.

After spending a few years shy of a decade in Stillwater and with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in tow, I got the call to come to Austin. I was “hooked” when I met a former University of Texas Lady Longhorn swimmer at Fado’s, the only Irish bar in Austin at the time.  (Where else would two redheads meet?) I can honestly say, I love her more today than the day I married her. We are lucky to have three smart, funny, redheaded boys who keep us very busy!

In 2011, I was the President and Founder of a local engineering firm,KBGE Engineering. Between wooing clients, fishing and hunting, and pushing site plans through the City, I managed to squeeze in some family time to attend a friend’s kid’s birthday party. Josh and I met that day at the Jumpoline and have been friends ever since. Our passion for deals, knowledge of the city, and dedication to our profession provided hours of conversation. Bottom line: He is an expert who is great at what he does and we have wanted to be in business together ever since.

So, in April of 2022, two good friends decided to start a company. Our mission is to use our skills to build projects in our community that create value, develop strategic relationships, contribute to affordability, and respect the environment, all while having fun. What could be better!

Reach out, we would love to tell you the rest of the story over coffee, lunch, a beer, or - better yet - on a stream setting a hook.
