Josh Delk

Although I was born in Fort Riley, Kansas, I was an Army brat, and my childhood took me all over the globe.  I attended ten different schools by the time I finished high school, but I was lucky enough to spend all four years of high school at Preble High School in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  So that’s where I’m from.  A Cheesehead from Green Bay, Wisconsin.  The place I stayed the longest.

Football and athletics in general have played a large part in my life.  In 1984, Bo Jackson became one of my lifelong heroes, and as a 5th grader I declared that I was going to Auburn University to play football and baseball, just like Bo Jackson.  And I did.  Kindof.  My football endeavors included flags on the intramural fields versus pads at Jordan-Hare Stadium and my baseball prowess occurred exclusively on the Playstation, but – like Bo - they were four of the best years of my life, and I will forever hold a very special place in my heart for “The Loveliest Village on the Plains.”

After graduating from Auburn, I moved back to Wisconsin to start my career as the first ever new employee of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Milwaukee.  I spent almost two years in Milwaukee before realizing that the four years I’d spent in Auburn had thinned my blood, and I was no longer accustomed to the frozen tundra of Wisconsin.

I moved down to Atlanta and began working for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, my initial foray into commercial real estate.  I spent two years with Lend Lease prior to relocating to Austin to marry the love of my life and go to graduate school.  I wanted to transition my career into real estate finance from accounting, and the University of Texas was the perfect place to do just that.  I think that the most important lesson that I learned in grad school was that I could do it, whatever it was.  I’ve carried that confidence with me ever since, and I carry it with me today.

I’m good at developing commercial real estate.  So is Gabe.  In fact, we’re really good, and it makes a lot of sense because it is our passion in life.  Outside of being a husband, father, son and brother, my heart belongs to Central Texas, and I am very passionate about my community and the projects that we create.

I’ve been developing mixed-use, office, industrial and multifamily projects in Central Texas and throughout the Sunbelt for over fifteen years.  I’ve made a living off of doing what I say I’m going to do and being real.  Gabe has the same reputation.  We are always looking to do business with like-minded folks that put a strong emphasis on integrity, so if that’s you, let’s talk about how we might do business together.
